The Lomax Ladies Singles final was held at the same time as the men’s singles on the 2nd June. This year it was contested between Penny Craig and Sylvia Byrne. This was a brilliant final with both ladies bowling extremely well. There was no runaway leader as after 19 ends the score was level at 18 each. Sadly for Sylvia, however, Penny picked up two ends to win the final 21-19. It was a final were no one deserved to lose but many congratulations to Penny and again commiserations to Sylvia.
