If there are enough entrants that a preliminary round is required, these games will be played during rollup on Tuesday 16th.

Entrants can choose between Lead, Second and Skip and teams will be drawn one from each

There is no guarentee that you will end up in your chosen position as numbers need to equalised between the 3 positions.

Rules of Play

World Bowls Rules will apply if not covered below.

The competition will take the form of a knockout.
Each game shall be played on the days and times scheduled, otherwise defaulting players will forfeit the game.
Two trial ends allowed (max 3 woods).
Toss up for the mat at the beginning of the match. Home team are the team at the top of the draw.

three end tie break will be played. In the tie break the team who

wins the most ENDS will be the winner. Toss for the mat before

each set is played.

Dead ends to be replayed
Score cards must be signed and timed by both skips and returned immediately to the

8 . Late arrivals. If the player/players are more than 15 mins late or advises they cannot play, the game will be awarded to their opponents.

Substitutes are allowed before the competition commences. As this is a drawn competition, substitutes MUST be on a like for like basis e.g. a lead for a lead etc and MUST be sanctioned by the controlling body.
Postponement due to weather conditions and any subsequent changes to playing times will be the decision of the Competition Secretary or the Captain
