Drawn Pairs

This competition will be played on the following dates 

Friday 2nd October AM

Tuesday 6th October PM ( if required)

Friday 9th October AM

Sunday 11th October AM

note  playing days changed to allow for Phoenix visit on Monday 5th

Pairs will be drawn based on the total handicap of both players with a view to making all teams as equal as possible  The lowest handicap players will team up with the highest handicap entrants

Rules of Play

World Bowls Rules will apply if not covered below.

1. The competition will take the form of a knockout.
2. Each game shall be played on the days and times scheduled, otherwise defaulting players will forfeit the game.
3. Two trial ends allowed (max 4 woods).
4. Toss up for the mat at the beginning of the match. Home team are the

     team at the top of the draw.

5. The winners are the pair with the highest number of shots after 18

     ends.  In the event of the score being level after 18 ends one further

     end will be played to decide the winner.   The toss of a coin will

     decide who starts the extra end.

6. If the jack leaves the rink, the end will be declared dead and

     re-played

7. 7. Score cards must be signed and timed by both skips and returned immediately to the

8 . Late arrivals. If the player/players are more than 15 mins late or advises they cannot play, the game will be awarded to their opponents.

9. Postponement due to weather conditions and any subsequent changes to playing times will be the decision of the Competition  Secretary or the Captain
