Arthur Lee Singles Competition

This competition is open to Ladies and Gentlemen that have not won a singles competition at Cabrera in the previous 3 years

September 14th to 20th

 Mon 14th am, Wed 16th am,  Fri 18th am, Sun 20th am,  

Entry fee €3

Closing date for entry 05/09/26

It is possible to play matches during roll up, if you cannot make the Monday or Wednesday*

*In agreement with your opponent

 

Rules of Play

World Bowls Rules will apply if not covered below.

  1. The competition will take the form of a knockout.
  2. Each game shall be played on the days and times scheduled, otherwise defaulting players with forfeit the game.
  3. Two trial ends allowed and each player can decide for themselves how many bowls they would like (max. 4 each end).
  1. Toss up for the mat at the beginning of each game. The home player is the name at the top of the draw,
  1. The winner will be the first to 21 shots.
  2. You may visit the head after your third bowl.
  3. Dead ends to be replayed.
  4. Score cards must be signed and timed by both players and returned immediately to the marker.
  5. Late arrivals. If a player is more than 15 mins late or advises they cannot play, the game will be awarded to their opponent.
  6. Postponement due to weather conditions and any subsequent changes to playing times will be the decision of the Competition Secretary or the Captain
  7. If a player cannot make a match prior to the semi final, they may agree with their opponent to play at a different time to that scheduled

 

Registration for this event is open from the 27th July until the 4th September 2026
